The SolarRoboFlower Kit
Original design by Daniel Schatzmayr aka 'mind'.
It will follow your torch or lighter around, it can be reprogrammed and everything from the software to the hardware is documented in detail and available online under a CreativeCommons SA-BY-NC 3.0 License.
The kit contains over 130 parts including all the electronic components, the lasercut parts, screws, nuts, cables, buttons, servos and everything else you need to assemble the kit yourself.
The building process is straight forward and there are online step-by-step instructions available for building and setup of the SolarRoboFlower.
There are four different versions available
- A wooden economic version made of plywood
- A transparent acrylic version (standard)
- A black acrylic version
- And the glossy limited special edition
The first prototype of this kit was built in 2009 by daniel schatzmayr aka mind at the Metalab hackerspace in Vienna and since then it evolved a lot with the support of the Metalab gang and hackerspaceshop.com
